600gr su
Tuz
320gr makarna
30gr parmesan (arzuya göre)

Farfalle with Broccoli and Tuna Recipe prepared with Thermomix

Honestly I wasn't much of a broccoli fan. No, I didn't deny eating it. But I always preferred something else when I had the chance. I wasn't very enthusiastic to cook it until I learnt this recipe.

I first had this pasta at my mom-in-law's. I couldn't believe that I liked it so much. I got the recipe right away of course. I hope you enjoy it too.

Ingredients:
350g broccoli, cut or broken into small florets
600g water
Salt
320g farfalle
30g parmesan
1 clove of garlic
5 anchovy fillets
50g extra virgin olive oil
1 dried small hot pepper (peperoncino)
1 small can of tuna (drained amount is around 50 - 60 g)

Malzemeler:
200gr muz, kabaca doğranmış
60gr şeker
1000gr tam yağlı süt
100gr tam yağlı yoğurt
1 tatlı kaşığı vanilyalı şeker
50gr süt tozu (benimkisi yağsız süt tozu)

200g banana, roughly chopped
60g sugar
1000g full fat milk

1 tsp vanilla sugar

200g di banana, in pezzi
60g zucchero
1000g latte intero
100g yogurt naturale intero
1 cucchiaino zucchero vanigliato
50g di latte in polvere (a casa ne avevo scremato)

Apple Tart with Mascarpone Cream Recipe with Thermomix

Thermomix Tarif Defterim is 4 years old !

Years fly indeed. It feels like yesterday when I decided to become a blogger.
I tried many recipes since then. There have been times where I was very active, posting something new almost every day. There also have been very quiet periods where I couldn't find time to take care of anything. Nevertheless I never gave up on my blog even at times I seemed distant. And here I am today.. celebrating its 4th birthday.

I happily see that the number of blog's followers, who are connecting from all around the world, has been increasing despite the unfortunate fact that Thermomix is still not sold in Turkish market.

I would like to take advantage of this special day and thank you all guys for following Thermomix Tarif Defterim via Blogger, Facebook and Pinterest, and everybody who contribute with mails, messages and comments.

For blog's 4th year celebration I decided to prepare this Apple Tart with Mascarpone Cream.

I hope you enjoy it...

Stefano Bimby (Thermomix'in İtalya'daki adı) ile yapıldığını söyleyince tarifini hemen istedim.

Tarifte geçen nane şurubu şeker, su ve nane aroması ihtiva eden alkolsüz bir şurup. Likör değil!!! Bir yanlışlık olmasın diye not düşeyim dedim.

400gr un
Bir tutam tuz
200gr alkolsüz nane şurubu
1 tatlı kaşığı kabartma tozu

When I published Ricotta and Sour Cherry Jam Tart's recipe, I had this dark brown - greenish beauty lying in the background in some of the pictures. As promised, the stage is hers today!

I met this marvellous cake in last Christmas. An acquaintance of Stefano, Simona, gave us this cake as a Christmas present. When I sliced it, we were surprised by its green look, we hadn't seen a cake quite similar before. As for the taste... I wouldn't be wrong to say it was love at first bite. Stefano told me that Simona made it with Bimby (Thermomix's name in Italy) so I didn't lose time to ask for the recipe.

The mint syrup that is used in this recipe is a non-alcoholic syrup which is basically made of mint aroma, water and sugar.
It is often used to prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks, as salsa over ice-cream or as ingredient while preparing cakes as we will do today.

I bought my mint syrup from supermarket.
I saw several recipes to prepare it at home, however I didn't try them myself. Some day I intend to try to do my mint syrup at home.
I let you know in case it works well.

Ingredients:
200g sugar
Thinly peeled skin of 1 lemon (without the white)
3 eggs (60g each)
150g butter, softened, cut roughly into pieces
200g milk
1 tsp vanilla extract or 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
400g flour
A pinch of salt
200g mint syrup (non-alcoholic)
1 tsp baking powder
75g chocolate chips

Topping:
200g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
30g butter

Topping:
200g di cioccolato fondente, in pezzetti

ÖN NOT: Uzunca bir aranın ardından herkese tekrar merhaba.

Gelelim tarifimize...

PRE-NOTE: Hi everyone.. It's been a long break. I had a busy summer and didn't have the time to take care of blog.

I wrote the following post quite a while ago. It is a bit outdated but I wanted to share it anyway.

See you very soon with new recipes...
-----------------------------------------

I got this recipe from Voi...Noi...Bimby which is official Thermomix magazine here in Italy. I believe this could be a delicious and healthier alternative to white flour bread. I prepared it with some modifications.

Today I'd also like to share some photos from the 3rd day of our Cappadocia trip. Since it was the last day and we had a long trip ahead of us back to Istanbul we tried to visit as many places as fast as possible.

We started our tour from Mustafapaşa village and Monastery Open Air Museum.

One of the things I was curious about the most was the underground cities of Cappadocia. We left them to the last day simply because they would be on our route on the way back home.

We first visited Kaymakli and then Derinkuyu underground cities. It was an amazing experience. Luckily we didn't have any true claustrophobics amongst us. Otherwise it wouldn't be quite possible to go 8 floors underground by passing through such narrow and low tunnels where our bodies hardy fit. (Nevertheless, we accept that we all felt a bit claustrophobic at some point)

The last stop of our Cappadocia trip was Ihlara Valley. Since we had a limited time we couldn't wander around as much as we wished. Regardless, we enjoy that precious 1 hour of time we spent there.
After having a late lunch in one of the restaurants located in front of the third entrance of the valley down in Belisirma, we hit the road to go back to Istanbul.

There was only one thing left in Cappadocia which we couldn't experience: flying in an hot air ballon. We didn't have the chance to join in one of those world famous balloon tours and fly over the magical landscape of the area. We couldn't see even a single one flying in the air let alone joining one! The weather conditions were not suitable for balloons to fly so none did. This may be a good excuse to go back to Cappadocia some day, don't you think?

Let's come to the recipe now...

Ingredients:
5 g parsley (leaves only)
2 sprigs of thyme (leaves only)
2 sage leaves
10g onion
150g chickpea flour
500g water
40g extra virgin olive oil

PRE-NOTA: Ciao a tutti ..

-----------------------------------------

Ho preso questa ricetta da Voi … Noi …

Ingredienti:
5g di prezzemolo (solo le foglie)
2 rametti di timo (solo le foglioline)
2 foglie di salvia
10g di cipolla
150g di farina di ceci
500g di acqua

Çilekli Vodka

Çilek ve Vodka'nın harika uyumu... ;)

A beautiful marriage of strawberry and vodka... ;)

I bought Vodka to prepare homemade vanilla extract. All I needed was around 1 cup. I wanted to use the remaining Vodka for something else so it wouldn't go wasted. I remembered this recipe which I had read a while back.

I had the advantage of having always frozen strawberries available in my freezer so it was just a matter of a few minutes for me to prepare this drink.

Before I proceed to the recipe I would like to share some photos from our 2nd day in Cappadocia.

On our second day we woke up to a surprise: snow!
Ok, I admit it, we had heard some rumours of a possible snow but we hadn't found it quite probable mostly after our first day which was around 17ºC.

After we had breakfast we went to Paşabağ again. We wanted to see the place also under snow. It was on our route anyway. It was a big chance to be able to see the place with different weather conditions.

Our next stop was Zelve Open Air Museum. When we first entered it was snowing so hard covering all the grounds. In just about 5 minutes though, it stopped and melted away!

After Zelve we stopped by at Pigeon Valley. We learnt that pigeon droppings were very important for the agriculture in the area as they were very widely used as fertilizer in the fields.

We had the advantage of having a car so, since we were in the neighbourhood, we wanted to visit also Mount Erciyes, the highest mountain in central Anatolia, which also played a big part in forming fairy chimneys ages ago. We got the chance to see Kayseri as well even if just a little.

We had supper at Han Çırağan Restaurant in Ürgüp. We'd highly recommend it to anyone if you ever happen to go on a vacation in Cappadocia. They offer many options in their menu, the food is delicious, they also have a nice wine selection from the wines produced in the area.

It's time to prepare our own drink now with Thermomix so here are the ingredients for Strawberry Vodka...

Ingredients:
100g sugar
600g frozen strawberries (removed from the freezer 5 minutes before use)
100g lemon juice
100g cold water
330g Vodka

Note: I used 50g of fresh lemon juice and 50g of fresh orange juice.

Un bellissimo matrimonio tra vodka e fragola … ;)
