Cadılar Bayramı için yaptığımız tariflerden ilkini bugün yayınlıyorum.
Geçen sene yaptığımız Fare Uzunkuyruk tarifinden yola çıkarak hazırladım bunu. Birkaç hafta öncesinden şeklini oturtmak için birkaç deneme yaptım. İşin nispeten zor yanı dikenleri nasıl yapacağım sorusuna yanıt bulmaktı. Çeşitli denemelerin ardından beni en çok tatmin eden pirinç patlağı oldu.

Tarife geçmeden önce biraz Cadılar Bayramı gecemizden bahsetmek isterim. Gecedeki tüm eğlence organizasyonu ve tatlılar Andrea, Stefano ve bendenize aitti. Kalan tüm yiyecek ve içecekler diğer misafirler tarafından imece usulü hazırlandı ve alındı. Çocuklarla birlikte toplam 20 kişilik bir gruptuk.

Stefano ve Andrea ile bu sene fiyakalı bir korku tüneli yapmaya karar vermiştik. Planını programını önceden yapmıştık. İnsan konuşurken, "şunu da yapalım, aaa bak bu da çok güzel fikir, ay şöyle bir şey de ekleyebiliriz" vs derken dile çok kolay geliyor, ama söylenen şeyleri uygulamaya dökmek tahmin edilenin çok ötesinde bir emek ve zaman gerektiriyor. 

Bu sene hızımızı alamayıp aklımıza gelen hemen her fikri uygulamaya kalkınca (-ve gelen yardım tekliflerini de sürpriz unsuru bozulmasın diye reddedince) üç kişi canımız çıktı. Şükür altından kalktık kalkmasına ama sonraki günleri bitap bir halde dinlenerek geçirdik :) Seneye bunca zahmete girer miyiz? Pek sanmam ama bekleyip göreceğiz. Büyük konuşmayayım yine de:)

Korku tüneli için Andrea ile iki gün öncesinden zeytin ağaçları arasında brandaları germeye başladık. Ses ve görüntü sistemi, duman ve lazer makineleri günler öncesinden denendi, tünel güzergahına yol boyunca hoparlörler yerleştirildi, uzatma kabloları ve gerekli ayarlamalar yapıldı.

Tünelin açık havada olması ve hava muhalefeti nedeniyle yapmamız gereken şeyleri sadece deneyebiliyorduk ve hemen sonrasında kaldırmamız gerekiyordu. Nitekim brandalar hariç herşeyin kurulması mecburen son güne kaldı. 

Herkese geliş saatlerini dakika dakika verdik. Ve ilk misafirler saat 18,45'de geleceklerdi. Çünkü hava o saatte kararıyordu. Dolayısıyla tüm hazırlıkları bitirmemiz için ancak o zamana kadar vaktimiz vardı. Üçümüz de sabah sabah erken başlayıp akşama kadar durmaksızın son sürat çalıştık. 

Herşeyi yetiştirip yetiştiremeyeceğimiz konusunda endişeliydik. İş korku tünelinin kurulmasıyla bitmiyordu. Kendimiz de oyunun bir parçasıydık. Balkabağının altından sürpriz şekilde çıkarak gelenlere kapıyı Andrea açıyordu. Ben cadı olarak bir nevi resepsiyonda durarak gelenleri karşılayıp 'sihirli iksir'imden ikram ediyordum. Ortası delik masanın altında uzanarak gizlenmiş olan Stefano masada duran kutuyu masanın altındaki gizli delikten elini hızla çıkartarak açıyor ve gelenlere çikolata ikram ediyordu. Bizi en çok üzen şey maalesef tüm bunları videoya kaydetmemiş ve hatta gece hiçbir fotoğraf çekmemiş olmamız oldu. O yorgunluk ve telaşla unutmuşuz.

İşimiz sırf orada bitmiyordu. Ben tünel boyunca misafirlere eşlik ediyordum. Her misafire söylenecek şeyler farklıydı, kişiye özeldi. Onu da diyelim, şunu da diyelim derken kendim ettim kendim buldum, elimde resmen senaryo gibi text birikti ve oturup ezberlemek zorunda kaldım! Ayrıca Andrea ve Stefano'nun yapması gereken bazı şeyler benim söyleyeceğim birtakım kilit kelimelere bağlıydı, o sözler üzerine harekete geçiyorlardı. Dolayısıyla her yerde emprovize yapmak da mümkün değildi.

Stefano ses, müzik ve görüntü sistemini idare ediyor, tünelin içine biz geçerken duman veriyordu. Her aksiyonun müziği ve ses dosyaları farklıydı. Andrea hem aktör hem animatör olarak çalışıyordu. Ayrıca ikinci duman ve lazer makinelerini çalıştırıyordu.

Hemen yukarıdaki kolajın sol alt köşesindeki resimde gördüğünüz tablette sesli ve görüntülü olarak youtube'da bulduğumuz bir korku film videosu oynuyordu. Aynı kolajın sağ üstündeki asılmış adam tam misafirler geçerken ansızın hızla düşüyordu.

Tünel mezarlıkla son buluyordu. Alttaki kolajın sağ altında yer alan ve içinde 'cadının eski kocası'nın bulunduğu sandık, misafiler tam yanından geçerken hızla yanıp sönen bir flaşör lamba eşliğinde birdenbire açılarak çok güzel bir korku efekti yapıyordu.  

Son olarak perdenin ardından duman makinesinin yarattığı yoğun sisin lazer ışık oyunlarına eşlik ettiği bir alana geçiliyordu, ne yazık ki elimizde ne video ne de fotoğraf var. Gerçekten büyülü bir ambiyans yaratıyordu.

Bu gösterinin hemen ardından çalışmaya başlayan televizyonda The Nightmare Before Christmas filminin meşhur soundtrack'i This is Halloween oynamaya başlıyordu.

Ve nihayet bu boyuttan çıkıp son durağa yani eve varmadan önce masadaki 'taze kesilmiş etler'den yemek gerekiyordu ve böylece korku turu tamamlanıyordu. Fotoğraflar çekildiğinde salamlar henüz masada değildi.

Maalesef yukarıdaki fotoğraflar tam havayı yansıtmıyor, çünkü tünel gerçekten karanlık, puslu ve korkunçtu ama yine de hiç yoktan iyidir.

Halloween yemeğinden daha sonra bahsederim. Lafı çok uzattım.

Kirpi tarifine gelelim. Ben bu tarif ve ölçülerle 25 kirpi çıkartıyorum. 
Kirpilerin herbiri yaklaşık 55-60gr oluyor. Sayıyı daha az ya da daha çok yapmak isteyenler için kullandığım gramajı vereyim. 1 kirpi için 40gr bisküvi ve 20gr peynir kullanıyorum. Gerisini siz hesap edin.

Bu kirpileri yapmak için Cadılar Bayramını beklemeye gerek yok. Korkunçtan ziyade sevimliler.

Today I am publishing the first recipe from 2012's Halloween cakes. 
I got the idea from last year's Longtail Mouse recipe. I did some trials a few weeks prior to the party to be able to obtain a beautiful hedgehog replica. The most challenging part was to decide how to make the stings. After several experiments with various ingredients the one satisfied me the most was puffed rice so I chose that.

Before proceeding to the recipe I'd like to mention about our Halloween party. All the cakes and the entertaintment content during the night belonged to Andrea, Stefano and myself. The rest of the food and beverages were brought, made. prepared by the guests as a result of their precious collective work. We were a group of 20 people including children. Not a little number, is it? ;)

A very long time ago Stefano, Andrea and I had decided to build a cool and creepy Horror Tunnel for this year. We had been planning and programming it since then. While talking and brainstorming we were flooded with endless ideas, we kept saying "let's do this too... oh.. also that one is a brilliant idea... let's add also that...". Well... As they say easier said than done. However, often they require time, work and effort beyond imagination.

As we declined to slow down and instead embraced almost every idea (-and refused also any help offerings not to spoil the surprise factor"), three of us got completely exhausted. Fortunately we pulled it off successfully thanks to the organization ability and talent of Stefano, however we spent next few days resting only :) Would we bother to do it all again next year? I think not.. Well, we'll see. I wouldn't want to talk big anyway :)

Andrea and I prepared indoors Halloween decorations three days before our Halloween night and the following day we began to stretch and tie the tarpaulins between olive trees. 
Audio and video systems, smoke and laser light machines were already tried many days ago, the speakers were placed along the tunnel path, extension cords and all necessary settings were made.

Tunnel obviously was to be built outdoors and the weather conditions of those days were not to be trusted. So we could only try the equipment, we had to put them away immediately after our tests. That's why, except tarpaulins, we were obliged to build everything else and test all again the very last day.

We scheduled our guests' arriving times minute by minute. The first guests were supposed to arrive at 18:45, because it was getting dark enough only then. Hence that was our deadline. We had to finalize everything by then. 
All three of us started to work very early that morning and worked fast and non-stop until the very last moment.

We were worried whether we would make it on time or not. It wasn't only about building the tunnel. We, ourselves, were also part of the act! 
Andrea was to open the door to the guests by  popping up unexpectedly under the pumpkin at the gate. 
I was impersonating a witch who was to welcome the people and offer from her "magic potion".
Stefano was to arrange the music and the sounds, all hidden under the witch's table, which had a secret hole, and when it was the right time, he was to pop up his hand that held a chalice by opening the box on the table and offering chocolates to the guests. I must say everyone reacted to that very much :)
What made us extremely sad later was the bitter fact that we forgot to record any video at all of our horror tour. (We forgot even to take pictures at night time when it was all dark and the tunnel was really creepier. As a result of tiredness and rush it slipped our minds)

This was just the beginning and we were hardly done. I, as the witch, was to accompany every guest throughout the tunnel. I was to tell different lines to each guest, we put up a quite exclusive show let me say :) 
During the rehearsals, I kept offering new ideas, new lines, new jokes which accumulated to quite a text almost like a script and I ended up having to memorize them all!! :) Well... It was mostly my own doing so I couldn't complain. Besides, some of Andrea's and Stefano's acts depended on some key words that I was supposed to say so I didn't have much chance to improvise either.

Besides being the "hand", Stefano had the control of sound, music and video systems, he started smoke machine once we were in the tunnel. Each act had different music and sound files.

Andrea worked as both actor and animator. Additionally, he controlled the second smoke machine and laser lights.

On the tablet, which you can see at the bottom left of the collage above, we played a horror video that we found on youtube. The hung man at the top right corner of the same collage fell suddenly upon the guests while they were passing by.

The tunnel ended with a cemetery. The old chest at the top and bottom right of the collage below opened all of a sudden popping out the "ex" husband of the witch, accompanied by a strobe light which created a pretty scary visual effect.

 
Finally the guests were out of the tunnel once they passed behind the curtains from the cemetry to another "dimension" where a dazzling light effect created by a small laser machine met a foggy and misty smoke effect made by the second smoke machine. Unfortunately we haven't got any photos of this part. It was quite a magical ambience I must add.

Right after the laser show, the TV turned on by itself and started to play This is Halloween, the famous soundtrack of The Nightmare Before Christmas which was just perfect for the evening. (We played the italian version of course:) )

At last, the guests had to eat "freshly chopped" meat before they arrived at their final destination which was the cabin. This was how the Terror Tour ended. (When the photos were taken, salami we offered to the guests weren't on the table yet.)
 

To our regret, the photos are far from reflecting the entire ambience because the tunnel really looked darker, mistier and creepier. Well let us console ourselves saying.. better than nothing.

I mention about the supper in my next post. I already talked a lot today :)

And here comes the hedgehog recipe.
I made 25 hedgehogs with these ingredients.
Each hedgehog was about 55-60g. For those of you that would like to make more or less hedgehogs let me give you the basic ingredients for one. I use 40g biscuits and 20g cheese for 1 hedgehog. You can figure out the rest.

You don't have to wait for the next Halloween to make these hedgehogs. They are cute rather than fearsome.

Ingredients for 25 Hedgehogs:

1000g Oreo
500g Philadelphia
Kit Kat wafers
Chocolate chips (I used both dark and white)
Puffed rice

Oggi pubblico la prima ricetta di dolci di Halloween 2012.

Ho preso l’idea dalla ricetta dell’anno scorso del Topolino Codalunga. Ho fatto un po’ di prove alcune settimane prima della festa per essere sicura di riuscire a fare una bella riproduzione di un riccio. La parte più difficile era quella di decidere come fare gli aculei. Dopo molti esperimenti con  ingredienti differenti quello che mi ha ispirata di più è stato il riso soffiato.

Prima di iniziare con la ricetta vorrei parlarvi della festa di Halloween. 

Io, Stefano e Andrea abbiamo preparato i dolci e … l’intrattenimento, sia all’esterno, sia all’interno della casetta dove avremmo cenato. Il resto dei preparativi, tra cui la cena vera e propria è stata preparata come lavoro collettivo degli altri invitati, chi più chi meno, soprattutto di mia suocera. Eravamo un gruppo di venti persone, non proprio pochi, vero?

Tempo fa decidemmo di costruire un tunnel degli orrori ma allo stesso tempo bello da percorrere. Da quel giorno non abbiamo più smesso di parlarne:) Ogni tanto ci veniva in mente qualche idea, dal nulla, o preso spunto dal quel particolare oggetto o da quella scena di film, continuavamo a dire:”facciamo così, anche quell’idea è brillante, dai, facciamo anche così…”. Beh, come si dice, è più semplice dirlo che farlo. Molte delle idee richiedevano tempo, lavoro e impegno oltre ogni immaginazione. 

Avevamo tante idee e non volevamo scartarne nessuna (abbiamo anche rifiutato l’aiuto di alcune delle persone invitate, per non rovinare l’effetto sorpresa) e alla fine ci siamo ritrovati completamente esausti, ma siamo riusciti a fare tutto quello che ci eravamo prefissati, anche grazie alle qualità organizzative e al talento di Stefano. Abbiamo avuto bisogno di un intero fine settimana di assoluto riposo per recuperare:) Lo rifaremo l’anno prossimo? Non penso, beh… vedremo, ora non sono in grado di pensare in modo lucido:)

Ci siamo organizzati in questo modo: durante l’orario di lavoro di Stefano, io e Andrea preparavamo le decorazioni interne alla casetta, alla sera posizionavamo i teloni e tutto quello che non poteva essere danneggiato dall’umidità. I sistemi audio e video, la macchina della nebbia, i laser, li avevamo provati anche durante le settimane precedenti, ma dovevamo capire se e quante prolunghe mancavamo, alla fine ne avremmo assemblate 7, alcune lunghe anche 15-20 metri.

Erano giorni molto umidi ed essendo il tunnel all’aperto, tutti gli strumenti, l’amplificatore, le casse, le luci, le zucche di carta plastificata, se volevamo usarli per fare delle prove anche “visive” di come sarebbe stato nel complesso, sapevamo che avremmo dovuto smontare e mettere tutto al sicuro dall’umidità, riportandole nel nostro garage, questo per non far vedere nulla nessuno prima di quella sera. Oltretutto sapevamo che avremmo dovuto montare la maggior parte degli allestimenti il giorno stesso della festa.

Dalla mattina presto abbiamo iniziato a lavorare non stop fino a pochi minuti prima delle fatidiche 18.45. 

Con l’ora legale (o legale invernale) non ancora in vigore, non potevamo far arrivare le persone troppo presto, almeno non prima delle 18,45, ma neanche troppo tardi, dato che volevamo farli arrivare a coppie (più di due se con bambini), per far in modo che lo spettacolo fosse il migliore possibile. Quindi dovevamo essere pronti per il tramonto e ad un certo punto della giornata, abbiamo anche pensato che non avremmo finito tutto in tempo.

Come detto eravamo preoccupati che non avremmo fatto in tempo, in effetti ero più che altro io e Andrea. Non c’era solo il tunnel da costruire, anche noi facevamo parte dello spettacolo!

Andrea, vestito e truccato da “zio Fester”:) doveva uscire all’improvviso da sotto un telone al posto di una zucca, al cancello di entrata.

Io impersonavo una strega che dava il benvenuto agli ospiti offrendo loro una “pozione magica”, che sarebbe stata essenziale per il percorso all’interno del tunnel degli orrori!

Stefano controllava la musica e i suoni e all’inizio dello spettacolo era nascosto sotto il tavolo della strega. Immaginate la mano della famiglia Adams che esce dalla scatola:) ad un certo punto da sotto il tavolo, attraverso un buco al centro del tavolo, tenendo in mano un calice pieno di cioccolatini a forma di zucca. Devo proprio dire che tutti sono rimasti sorpresi, nessuno si aspettava una mano.. vera:)

L’unica cosa della serata che ci ha decisamente rattristato è stato quello di esserci dimenticati completamente di fare una registrare video dello spettacolo, come avevamo fatto l’anno precedente, e anche il non avere nessuna foto notturna, sia di noi mentre “recitavamo” sia del tunnel, che di notte, e con tutto la nebbia creata artificialmente, faceva veramente venire i brividi. Era circa mezzanotte quando, dopo aver iniziato a smontare l’impianto audio… ci siamo accorti dell’imperdonabile dimenticanza.

Durante le prove, continuavo a pensare a nuove idee, nuove frasi da dire, nuovi battute, e il tutto si è tramutato in un copione lungo pagine e pagine che mi sono dovuta imparare più o meno a memoria :) beh … sono stata io a che me la sono cercata, perciò non potevo certo lamentarmi. Oltretutto, parte dei movimenti di Andrea e Stefano dipendevano da alcune frasi o parole chiavi che avrei dovuto dire in particolari momenti dello spettacolo, perciò non potevo certo improvvisare.

Oltre ad essere “mano”, Stefano aveva il controllo del suono, musica e video e la nebbia al momento dell’entrata del tunnel. Ogni parte dello spettacolo aveva la sua colonna sonora e i suoi suoni specifici.

Questo era solo l’inizio, io che impersonavo la strega, avrei dovuto accompagnare ogni ospite attraverso il tunnel e dire cose differenti ad ogni ospite, abbiamo proprio organizzato uno show esclusivo:)

Andrea ha lavorato sia come attore sia dietro le quinte. In aggiunta, controllava la seconda macchina della nebbia e il laser.

Il tablet, che potete vedere nella foto in basso a sinistra del foto collage qui sopra, mostrava un video horror che abbiamo trovato su youtube. L’impiccato che vedete nella foto in alto a destra era controllato da Andrea, e improvvisamente cadeva addosso agli ospiti che gli passavamo vicino.

Il tunnel si concludeva in un cimitero. La cassapanca nella foto qui sotto si apriva e il “mio ex marito” (così raccontavo agli ospiti:) ) appariva accompagnato da una luce strobo creando un effetto piuttosto pauroso.

Fuori dal tunnel e passato il cimitero il percorso continuava per entrare in un’altra “dimensione” dove effetti luce abbaglianti provenienti da un laser si fondevano con l’effetto nebbia della seconda macchina del fumo. Peccato non potervi mostrare nessuna foto, era un effetto quasi da paese incantato.

Subito dopo lo show laser, la Tv si accendeva quasi per magia (Stefano, bloccava la colonna sonora facendo partire il video, mentre Andrea bloccava il laser e la macchina della nebbia) mostrando il video Questo è Halloween, brano della colonna sonora del famoso film Nightmare before Christmas, film perfetto per quella sera.

Come ultima cosa gli ospiti dovevamo mangiare carne “appena tagliata” prima di arrivare alla fine del tragitto, cioè la casetta di legno dove avremmo avuto la festa. (Le foto sono state fatte prima di mettere il “salame” sul tavolo che avremmo offerto)

 

Il nostro grande dispiacere è non aver fatto il video della percorso, ma anche non avere delle foto che possano riflettere l’intera ambientazione, infatti il tunnel sembrava veramente più scuro, nebbioso e pauroso. Consoliamoci dicendo … meglio di niente. Se ci sarà una prossima volta, sono sicura che ci ricorderemo di fare più foto, anche di notte e soprattutto un video completo.

Parlerò della cena/festa nel mio prossimo post. Ho parlato già abbastanza per oggi :) 

Ed ecco la ricetta dei ricci.

Ho fatto 25 ricci con questi ingredienti. 
Ogni riccio era di circa 55-60g. 

Per quelli di voi che vorrebbero fare un numero diverso, vorrei dare gli ingredienti di base per uno. Ho usato 40g di biscotti e 20g di formaggio per 1 riccio.

Secondo me non c'è bisogno di aspettare il prossimo Halloween per fare questa ricetta. Sono più graziosi che raccapriccianti.

Ingredienti per preparare 25 Ricci:

1000g di Oreo
500g di Philadelphia
Kit Kat
Gocce di cioccolato (Ho usato sia fondente che bianco)
Riso soffiato

Bu sene üçüncü kez düzenlediğimiz Cadılar Bayramı yemeğimizi, hava tahminlerinin güneşliden yağmurluya dönmesinin ardından planladığımız tarihten öne çekmek zorında kalınca belki bu sefer 31 Ekim öncesi birkaç tarif yayınlayabilirim diye ummuştum ama sonrasında öyle yorulduk ve öyle çok iş çıktı ki tarifleri yayına yetiştirmek yine mümkün olmadı.

Bugüne özel fotoğraflarını sizlerle paylaşmak istedim en azından.

Halloween 2012

This year we organized our third Halloween party. Because of the weather predictions - which suddenly turned to be from sunny to rainy - we had to backdate our evening so had it on the 25th of October.

I hoped to get a positive outcome off this somewhat unlucky event and publish the recipes before 31st of October but we were so exhausted and had our hands so full even after the party I couldn't make it on time for you guys to have the chance in order to prepare the reciped this year. 

Well... there is always next year.. or if you can't wait that long you can organize a horror themed party! ;)

Per il terzo anno consecutivo abbiamo organizzato la festa di Halloween. Da tempo avevamo fissato la festa per sabato 27 ottobre, ma siamo stati costretti ad anticiparla al giovedì a causa delle previsioni meteo che davano pioggia per tutto il weekend.  

Speravo che la festa riuscisse nel migliore dei modi e pubblicare le ricette prima del 31 ottobre ma prima della festa eravamo impegnatissimi con i preparativi, i giorni successivi per rimettere a posto e impacchettare tutto. Ero così esausta che non sono riuscita a trovare il tempo e le forze per pubblicare in tempo le ricette. 

Beh… c’è sempre l’anno prossimo… o se volete… potete organizzare una festa in tema… horror :)

Intanto potete vedere alcune foto dei dolci che abbiamo preparato per la festa, le ricette arriveranno presto, quindi restate sintonizzati :)
