Mom's Easy Kebap-Shop Soup


 It is a very tasty and ezogelin-like soup which mom cooks very often and she calls it as kebap shop soup.

150g onions, quartered
180g red lentils, washed and drained
1200g water
30g Thermomix vegetable or meat stock
30g olive oil
25g tomato paste
Salt (if needed)
1 tbsp dried mint

  • Chop onion for 5 seconds on Speed 5. Clean down the sides with Spatula
  • Add tomato paste and oil. Saute for 4 minutes at 100°C on Speed 1
  • Add lentils, water and TM stock. Cook for 35-40 minutes at 100°C on Speed 1
  • Add mint and salt if needed. Blend for 30 seconds on Speed 10

Note: When mom cooks pasta if she is planning to cook this soup any time soon, she doesn't throw the pasta-boiling water. She often uses it in this soup instead of plain water and this makes the soup even more delicious. In case you'd like to try what she does, remember to adjust TM stock and salt taking into account that also pasta-boiling water has salt in it!
